Going back several...well, days, with this post, we learned I spent a few years wanting to be Strawberry Shortcake.
Now that I have made several strawberry-forward smoothies, I'm embracing my strawberry dreams.
And you're all coming with me. You, too, will start to go "HEY! KNOW WHAT WOULD GO GOOD TOGETHER?!?!?" in the middle of a grocery store; I am that sure these smoothies have provided you with so much energy that you are now making your own custom blends. Maybe you're even yelling in the milk aisle.
Plus, these smoothies are a great way to use up any leftover fruit you have in your fridge, or your freezer, or your ice house while ice fishing. It's all phenomenal!
So I present to you...
Julia's Strawberry Coconut Smoothie
1 cup milk of choice
1 serving protein powder of choice OR 1 tablespoon hemp hearts and 1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1-2 pitted Medjool dates or 2-4 Deglet dates (sweetness is up to you!)
2 tablespoons unsweetened dried coconut
1 tablespoon walnuts
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Tiny pinch of salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (OPTIONAL)
1/4 cup fresh or frozen spinach (IF YOU FEEL LIKE IT)
Make It:
Blend everything in a blender to blend until blender smooth.
This smoothie is so good, it turned itself into pop art.
