You can, and SHOULD, have this cheesecake every day. | SPG 31 Days of Smoothies
Cheesecake is in my top 2 favorite desserts. Chocolate cheesecake is in my top 1.5 favorite desserts.
I love to have a cup of coffee nearby, take a forkful of cheesecake, and dip it in the coffee.
Pure delight.
However...I am fully aware that I can't eat the real thing every single day. Well I could, but:
1.) You'd never see me again, and
2.) I'd bet bored with it.
WHO WANTS TO GET BORED WITH CHEESECAKE? Even the vegan version, which is DELICIOUS.
Yes, my friends, any way you slice it (haa see what I did there), you do not want to get bored with cheesecake.
Which is where this smoothie comes in. It supports the flavors of cheesecake, and CAN be eaten (well, sipped through a straw) every day, for a feel good mood without being weighed down.
And if we can make it a Turtle Cheesecake, which is a Pecan-Caramel-Chocolate cheesecake, well then. All the better(er).
Turtle Cheesecake Smoothie
1 cup milk of choice
1 serving protein powder of choice
1 tablespoon oats
2 tablespoons raw cacao or cocoa powder
2 tablespoons Greek-style yogurt
1-2 pitted Medjool dates (or 2-4 Deglet dates) for your preferred level of sweetness
1 tablespoon chopped pecans
Tiny pinch of salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (OPTIONAL)
1/4 cup frozen spinach (ALSO OPTIONAL)
Make It:
Put the things in a blender.
Blend the things until smooth.
Clearly, if you mention cheesecake, I need to put this thing in one of my very favorite mugs. Thank you, Dorothy, the Patron Saint of Cheesecake.
