Because everyone needs one. | SPG 31 Days of Smoothies
I think there's a whole thing where if you make smoothies, or post recipes for a smoothie, you're supposed to have a "TASTE OF THE TROPICS!" like smoothie or something.
At least, that's what I've seen. I know. Judgy judgy, ye olde surly Gen X-er (that's me, not you).
This is my attempt. It's actually not an attempt; it's pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.
So here you go...um...wait I need the script...oh here it is:
"I REALLY HOPE YOU LOVE THIS SUNSHINEY SMOOTHIE! ONE SIP AND IT'S LIKE YOU'RE WALKING ON THE BEACH!"
...yeah.
Pineapple Coconut Mango Tropical-Thing Smoothie
1 cup plain, sparkling, or coconut water (add up to 1/2 cup more if smoothie is too thick)
1 serving protein powder of choice (neutral colored works best to avoid messing with the color, OR 2 tablespoons hemp hearts)
1/4 cup frozen mango chunks
1/4 cup frozen pineapple chunks
1/4 of a large frozen banana
1-2 tablespoons unsweetened dried coconut
1 squeeze of fresh lime (if you desire)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint (also if you desire)
1 pitted Medjool date or 2 Deglet dates (also also if you desire; the smoothie is sweet enough without it, but you may like it sweeter)
Make It:
Blend until smooth, sip, and ENJOY THE SUNSHINE OF THE TROPICS!!!!!!!!! RIGHT NOW!!!!!
