What? Your Mom never told you to drink your pie? | SPG 31 Days of Smoothies
In addition to my favorite question of "Will it Smoothie?" I also like to ask: "Will it Pie?"
To be honest, I don't even really like pie. Unless it's a chocolate cream pie, which of course, now that I mentioned it, will manifest itself as a smoothie one of these days on this very blaaahggg.
Cobblers and crisps, however, get my vote. If there's fruit to be baked, there's nothing like a warm biscuit or crisp topping to give it a hug. Triple points if there's whipped cream giving a hug to the crumble topping, which we've established is giving a hug to the baked fruit.

Anyway, speaking of love...
The Mixed Berry Cobbler Smoothie.
As pictured (and some things not pictured...)
1 cup milk of choice
1 serving protein powder of choice
1 pitted Medjool date (or, say it with me...2 Deglet dates!)
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries, cherries, blueberries, strawberries...you get the idea...
2 tablespoons oats
1 tablespoon walnuts, nut of choice, OR sunflower seeds (or nothing; leave it all out)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (Optional)
Tiny pinch of salt
1 tablespoon yogurt of choice (THERE'S your whipped cream!)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (Optional)
1/4 teaspoon almond extract (Also Optional)
And then...
Blend until smooth.
And then...
Drink it.
And then...
Smile, cuz you did something wonderful for yourself.
