Dark Chocolate Mint Cookie Smoothie: January 23rd.

You know those cookies? Yeah, you know THOSE cookies. | SPG 31 Days of Smoothies


I'm not gonna go into too much detail here, because if you see the title of the post and your thought instantly goes to THOSE cookies, then I already know you know, you know?

You KNOW. Chocolate cookies, covered in chocolate, taste like mint, you put them in the freezer because there's no other way to eat them, it's a rule...


Of Note: The mint flavor is up to you. If you use fresh mint, you will get an herby flavor that really plays well with the chocolate and is totally alcohol-free. If you use peppermint extract, you will get more of the "classic" flavor. However, if you've ever used it before, you know it burnnnsssss and if you're not careful, you will have a dark chocolate toothpaste smoothie. So, you know, be careful!


Dark Chocolate Mint Cookie Smoothie

There is so much cookie chaos going on in the background and I am here for it.

  • 1 cup milk of choice

  • 1 serving protein powder of choice

  • 2-3 tablespoons raw cacao or cocoa powder (we're going for DARK chocolate flavor here, people)

  • 1-2 pitted Medjool dates or 2-4 Deglet dates (sweetness is yours!)

  • 1-2 tablespoons oats (OPTIONAL; just gives a cookie vibe)

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (again, OPTIONAL)

  • 1/2-1 tablespoon chia seeds (to add thickness, but OPTIONAL)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint or 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract


Make it:

Blend all ingredients until smooth and enjoy!
