Apple Crisp Smoothie: January 8th.

Why waste time making an apple crisp when you can liquefy one? | SPG 31 Days of Smoothies

I love apple crisps and crumbles. I do. Clearly, as written in this very post right here.

However, sometimes there's just not enough time (or coffee) to make a breakfast crisp. I mean, there are tasks to tackle. Like mall-walking. Sitting on the deck and staring. Petting animals. Talking to birds. Changing the brakes on your car.

Whatever it is, smoothies just make more sense in some situations (ESPECIALLY if you're changing the breaks on your car).

Thank goodness for you, I have figured out how to smoothie an apple crisp so YOU, TOO, can change the brakes on your car without the mess of a cast iron skillet of crisp next to your head. You're welcome.

APPLE CRISP SMOOTHIE

Never say never, but you NEVER have to wait for an apple crisp smoothie. That would be terrible.
  • 1 cup milk of choice

  • 1 serving protein powder of choice

  • 1 pitted Medjool date (or 2 Deglet dates)

  • 2 tablespoons oats

  • 1 tablespoon yogurt of choice

  • 1 small apple, cut into chunks

  • 1 tablespoon walnuts, chopped pecans, sunflower seeds, or nothing at all

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (optional, but lovely)

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (also optional, but also lovely)

  • Tiny pinch of salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (totally optional at all times)

And then...

  • Blend it.

And then...

  • Change the breaks on your car.
